Description
Again an illustration for our huge project, the (German) Zelda RPG "Zelda Chronicles".
Concerning the contents it is the first picture for the text "Birth of the Hero of Time Link", though it is in chronological order the second I made, because the ideas for the one that's already in my gallery hadn't left me alone until I finished it.
It shows the destiny of Link's family, which you can discover only partially in "Ocarina of Time", while there has been a comic in the special edition #9 of the German magazine Club Nintendo in 1998 that tells more about the backstory (if you're interested and unterstand German: you can read it here - don't know whether there's an English version and where you can find it, sorry); by the way, I designed the illustration both concerning the contents and optically following the comic (as you can rarely find images of Link's parents for example). Furthermore I love the comic and the illustration should be a little homage. Link's fateful story starts soon, oh yes. x3

... main reference was the prologue of "The Wind Waker", the background texture is from croix22 (though the account is deactivated ...). The worn out looking lines are the result of experimentation with filters and layers in Photoshop. The picture is from June 2012 and took me about four days (and more of the nights).
